Homeschool Classified Marketplace Rules
All items must be gently used. Do not sell consumables that have more than 25% completed.
Be reasonable about your sales prices. A good price gauge for your items that are in “Like New” condition would be 50% of retail. If your prices are fair, you will sell more.
Do not sell anything that would be considered very used or poor quality.
Describe items correctly include a clear description of any flaws.
Post one item or lot per post. Do not put multiple items for sale in one post, unless they are part of a lot and all being sold for the one listed price.
The only furniture allowed to be posted within the Marketplace is furniture that is appropriate for a homeschool room or for homeschool supplies i.e bookshelves, desks, drawers, organizers, chairs, etc.
Use photos of the actual product, stock photos are not allowed (this can be misleading). You may provide a link in the description to product info.
If you want to negotiate a lower price for an item, do not try to negotiate prices through the listing comments. Email or private message the seller to negotiate sale price.
Do not post offers less than asking price in the Marketplace.
Exchange all personal information through email or private message only.
If someone expresses interest and does not reply within 24 hours, move onto the next person in line.
Once a seller contacts you after you expressed interest in a product you have 24 hours to respond. If you do not respond within 24 hours, the seller is free to move onto the next person in line.
Do not try to cut in line. This would include messaging a seller to schedule pickup before your turn, offering to pay more than the listed price for an item.
If you have bought an item here and are reselling it, do not list the item for a higher price than what you paid.
Sellers must clearly state their refund policy, payment accepted, and any other terms of sale in their posts.
Once your item has sold, delete the listing from the Marketplace.
Do not contact members to try to sell your items. Buyers must come to you.
Local pick ups:
- You have 24 hours to either schedule pickup or pass. Buyers must pickup items within a 3 business day time frame. Any pickup arrangements outside of that time must be made with the seller at the seller’s discretion.
