Make sure that you pack your items for shipping very carefully! You don’t want to have to deal with missing items, insurance claims, refunds, or unhappy customers.
Remember, once you receive payment and it clears, the items are no longer yours. They belong to your customer and it is your responsibility to take ever measure to pack them appropriately so they arrive in good condition. Pack them they way you want your purchases to be packed. Here are some best practices for shipping your sold goods.
Use sturdy boxes, do not use boxes that are flimsy or have been water damaged.
Use packing paper, bubble wrap, or packing peanuts to fill empty space inside the box. Even books can get damaged when they shift in the shipping process.
Use a good quality, sturdy packing tape.
Use the H Taping Method (click on link if this is new)
Include your customer’s name, address, and content list on a sheet of paper inside the box.
