ADD/ADHD

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder is a chronic condition that affects millions of children and often continues into adulthood. ADHD includes a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty sustaining attention, hyperactivity, and impulsive behavior. Despite their academic challenges, many children with ADD/ADHD possess the uncanny ability to create their own strategies to survive in a non-ADHD world. The small things that distract these children often inspire them to learn more about the world.  Their periodic setbacks contribute substantially to their creativity; like building amazing things out of pieces of junk. Relationally, they often possess humor and empathy, which often makes them want to help others academically.
