Teresa Johnson is a divorced, single parent of 6 children, ranging in age from 8 to 25 years old. She has 2 disabled sons (Brain Tumor/Seizures and TBI/CP/Autism), as well as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD and even an advanced child. She has been homeschooling for over 20 years and has learned a lot of resources and ideas. She has used many styles of homeschooling as well as many different curriculums. She has learned so much within her homeschooling journey and continues to learn more every day. Her main passion is helping other single or divorced parents learn about homeschooling and understand that it can be done, even as a single parent. She loves encouraging homeschooling and answering any questions, if she can. There are so many resources and ideas out there that many families don’t know about, and she is excited to help you find them. As single parents we need to lift each other up and help each other out. It’s very important for everyone to have support, and single parents need to support each other even more. Homeschooling should be fun and shouldn’t be intimidating. She wants to help with being a part of a support group for this. She founded Homeschool Family Academy, an umbrella school that fullfiles Colorado’s law .
